Deepening Awareness of God in All Things

At this year’s regional conference we will be exploring what it means to find God in all things.  This is not some super-spiritual mumbo-jumbo that we neatly slap over the more challenging parts of our lives or ministries, but rather a divine invitation to notice and meet God right where we are (whether we like our present situation or not).  We will reflect together on our own lives as we examine the Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus, watching Him closely and considering things like God’s “better way,” God’s silence and hiddenness, and God’s voice within.

Sara Carlisle is a recent resident of Nashville, Tennessee after living in Ohio her entire life!  She worked on Vineyard Columbus’ pastoral staff for several years after graduating from the Ohio State University (go bucks!) and Vineyard Leadership Institute.  After this, she began a journey into the work of Spiritual Direction while receiving her Master of Divinity in Christian Spirituality.

She is currently serving as a Teacher and Board member with Sustainable Faith’s Schools of Spiritual Direction (a two-year formational training that equips individuals in the ministry of Spiritual Direction, where she received her own training), as well as a Spiritual Director in her own private practice to Pastors, Leaders, Missionaries, Church Planters, and Spiritual Directors. She enjoys leading retreats, preaching/teaching, and creating sacred spaces for those in need of rest.  She dreams about planting a monastery of sorts–offering hospitality, sanctuary, and renewal for pastors, leaders, and missionaries. She is thrilled to travel and work in these ways because the work of Spiritual Direction transfigured her own life!  She has had a long-time love for pastoring and equipping others to embrace and cultivate a deeper awareness of God’s presence in their everyday life and encouraging them to respond to God’s loving attention.  She loves assisting others as they clarify their own calling, and companioning people in every season of the soul.
